Agenda
MCW mini-conference on Copyright, Authorship, and Open Culture, 8 May 2018 – updated!
We found several interesting speakers who will introduce the topic and will help our department reflect on the importance of copyright in cultural production. After three short introductions we enter the debate, guided by a number of propositions. We close off the event by asking some of our colleagues to briefly reflect on what they’ve heard and how it applies to their own work.
Through this event, we hope to put this theme on the agenda of our department; explore and articulate a role for MCW in societal discussions about cultural production and open culture; reflect on our role in partnerships with professional organizations; and explore links with education and the prospective working field of our students. The event is organized by Jasmijn van Gorp, Michiel Kamp, and Michiel de Lange.
